Members

CAMPE membership represents academic institutions, motive power related associations and providers of training resources across the country. College representatives are chairs/deans of motive power departments providing for a greater perspective on issues relating to training, industry networking, enrollment, programs, apprenticeship, just to name a few. Together they share solutions to address current challenges while uncovering the issues that they will likely face in the future.

Aims

CAMPE provides a forum for members to exchange ideas and information at a unique level not afforded by other groups or committees. Access to information on what is happening at other similar organizations would not be available without such a forum.

The forum provides you with the opportunity:

  • To network with peers at other colleges to discuss common problems, and most importantly, to share the solutions others have found useful
  • To share innovative practices used across Canada for recruitment and delivery of programs
  • To share best practices
  • To develop national perspectives and relationships with sector councils
  • To assist clients with interprovincial training requirements and transfer credits
  • To share and exchange information regarding student mobility
  • To address challenges and issues concerning the First Nations
  • To learn innovative educational and training practices
  • To have access to partnerships and expertise in other colleges and provinces in order to for reduce training costs and address language needs

I would like to extend to you a personal welcome to CAMPE and to our website. Whether you are a current member, associate member, new member or simply an interested individual in this field, I am sure you will find something of value on this site.

CAMPE Chair 2016-2017
